| Airsoft discussion | | OK, i have talked to a lot of people in my time that don't know what Airsoft is, so, I'm going to explain it for people who might not know. And besides, airsoft isn't listed for interests so ya... anyway, for a person just starting out, it can be EXPENSIVE. my gear i have already has cost me well over $800. And i still am not done getting gear. Plus, the airsoft BB's, which, even though they run about $8 - $15 for a bag or bottle, its still money consuming. And if you have a gas powered gun, gas runs between $10 and $15 a can, though you can get an adapter to use propane as an alternate gas, i prefer Green Gas, which is what most gas guns take. Then you have the Springers, which are neither semi nor fully automatic. You have to pull the slide, or bolt, or whatever the gun has.It is sort of like Paintball, except instead of Paint balls you use little 6MM BB's. The guns all have real steel counterparts, like, MP5's, M4's, M9's, 1911's, most real guns have an airsoft counterpart, though i have seen a select few that don't. Airsoft games come in many forms, too. Capture the flag, Last Team Standing, Last Man Standing, hostage rescue, others like that. They also have some overnight... | |
| | Professional work attire? | | Ok, I have been licensed in hair for 12 years, and am geeting back into it after raising my family.
Now when I use to do hair, there was kind of a strict dress code, not jeans, tennis shoes, short shorts, short shirts, t-shirts, or anything like that. Basically, "professional" looking attire. Slacks, button up shirts, shirts with no print/writing, shoes, skirts etc..
Well, I have seen now more gals wearing clothing to work in a salon that looks like they should be going to high school! They have short tight tops, tennis shoes, camo pants, concert tees etc... Is that ok? I dress very nice for work, I feel that if I appear to take care of myslef, then people who's hair I will be doing will think I will do a great job becasue of my appearance. I have actually been told though, that I kind of over dress! Is that possible? I mean I'm not weraing evening gowns and heels, but suit jackets and matching slacks with boots.
