Many people today like to fish, hunt or camp in their free time. These are hobbies that you can enjoy without spending a lot of money. Though many think these are mainly hobbies that men like many women enjoy them too. As families adjust their spending and watch their money they usually cut out expensive vacations. Sometimes it leads them to think of spending their time at a campsite. This often leads them to discover the joys of fishing, hiking, hunting and camping.

Fishing can be done just about anywhere from deep sea fishing to ice fishing in a frozen lake. You can fish in salt water or in fresh water. As with any hobby or sport you need to make sure you have the right fishing supplies with you when you go fishing. Of course you will need a fishing pole and hooks. There are different kinds of fishing poles. They make a heavy duty one for deep sea fishing so you can fight with the fish and they make a special one for fly fishing too. Other fishing supplies are weights, floats and bait.

The bait will change depending upon what kind of fish you are after. Keep all your fishing supplies together in a tackle box. This way you will not run the risk of losing any of the smaller pieces. Be careful with the fishing hooks because it will hurt if you get stuck with one.

Once you catch the fish you will need to have other fishing supplies handy. You will need a pail to hold the fish while you are fishing and then a table and a filet knife so you can clean and filet them before you head home. Be careful of the seagulls as they will try to go after your freshly caught fish.

Hunting is a little different. You will need to have a permit for a gun and you might also need a hunting license. If you are going to hunt on your own land you would not need a license but most times people go to specific areas to hunt. Hunting supplies would include your gun, bullets, sharp knife and maybe a scope for your gun. If you are doing it the old fashioned way then your hunting supplies might consist of a bow and arrow.

The hunting supplies you bring can depend on the game you are after. Deer hunting is different from duck hunting. You would use different ammunition for each of them. You will need to have a way to transport what you have shot afterwards. If you are hunting big game you will either need to tie it to the roof of your car or put it in your trunk. Be sure to bring lots of paper towels and garbage bags to help clean up and absorb any mess.

Hunting and Fishing supplies should be kept in a safe area. You would not want to have any hunting or fishing accidents that could have been avoided if you had just locked your gun cabinet or put your fish hooks away. Safety should always be your number one priority.
